In Depth

Diving is a luxury affair from the island of Petit St. Vincent, a private island paradise with a Jean-Michel Cousteau dive centre on site. Around 20 local sites are easily accessed from the island, with the best dive sites blending a mixture of sloping reefs, wall dives and wrecks. Marine highlights include eagle rays, nurse sharks, reef sharks and turtles, and the odd Caribbean manta has even been sighted around here by some very lucky divers.

Scuba diving around St. Vincent and the Grenadines is suitable for divers of all abilities, with a wide range of sites on offer. The island of Mayreau is surrounded by beautiful dive sites with healthy coral formations frequented by pelagic species, while advanced divers won’t want to miss a dive on sail rock which is an exciting pinnacle dive with a cave and attracts large schools of fish and is home to fascinating macro life. Hot Springs offers something a little different, with the chance to dive an underwater volcano with continuous bubbles escaping through the reef. The corals here are in great health for the Caribbean so this is not to be missed.
